The Focke-Wulf can be highly classified together with the Supermarine Spitfore, Vought F4U Corsair and North American P-51 Mustang. The FW-190A was constructed by a team of designers headed by Kurt Tank. The FW-190A aircraft is the successor of the Messerschmitt Bf109 fighter. The basic layout of the FW-190A is very ordinary. It is a monoplane with a nose mounted engine driving a tractor airscrew. The main plane is fully cantilever and was fitted with split flaps of metal constructions.
